Get started
Connect your first channel
Connect a messaging channel — Telegram, WhatsApp, Viber, Facebook Messenger, Instagram or a website chat — so client messages arrive in your APROS inbox.
Admin
Connect the messengers your clients already use. Their messages then arrive in Chat, in one inbox, and your team answers from there.
Channels you can connect
| Channel | How it connects |
|---|---|
| Telegram | A Telegram bot you create with @BotFather. You paste its token. |
| Viber | A Viber bot. You paste its auth token from the Viber Admin Panel. |
| Your WhatsApp Business number, connected through Meta. | |
| Facebook Messenger | A Facebook Page, connected through your Meta business account. |
| Instagram Direct, connected through your Meta business account. | |
| Web widget | A chat window on your website. APROS gives you an embed code. |
Before you begin
- You need the
CREATE_CHANNELpermission. Administrators, Directors and Department Heads have it. - Channels belong to the Sales module. If an administrator switched Sales off in Settings → System → Modules, the channel cards are hidden.
- Channels live on the Marketplace page. It appears in the sidebar for people with the
VIEW_INTEGRATIONSpermission; administrators can also open it from Settings → Integrations. The page is part of the Commerce module: if Commerce is switched off, the page is not available.
Connect a channel
-
In the sidebar, click Marketplace, then open the Channels tab.
-
Click the channel's card. Its setup panel opens on the right.
-
Follow the steps in the panel:
- Telegram and Viber: paste the bot token, click Validate, give the channel a Channel Name and click Create Channel. For Telegram, see the step-by-step guide below.
- Web widget: set the name, colour, position, welcome message and pre-chat form, create the channel, then copy the embed code into your website.
- WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram: connect through Meta, following the options in the panel.
-
Check the card. Connected means the channel is active. Error means APROS could not finish the connection; open the channel to see why.
Connect Telegram
Create a bot with @BotFather and connect it, step by step.
What happens next
- When a client writes to the channel, a conversation appears in Chat, under the Clients tab. Reply there; your answer goes back through the same channel.
- If the client isn't already a lead or contact, APROS creates a lead for them. An administrator can turn this off in Settings → Chat & Channels → Auto-create leads.
- Messages your team sends to messengers start with the operator's name. To change that, use Show operator name in messages in the same settings.
- You can attach an AI agent to a channel to answer first or help your operators. Open the channel's settings and find AI Agent.
